North Asia Regional Conference北アジア地域会議

PSR Nepal （IPPNWネパール支部）の主催で、2011年3月4日から6日に、ネパールのカトマンズで行われた、IPPNW北アジア・南アジア合同地域会議に、バングラデシュ、中国、北朝鮮、フィンランド、インド、日本、ネパール、パキスタン、スリランカから集まった我々参加者は、以下のように宣言する。
核兵器の所有と核兵器開発の能力、国家間の不十分で一時しのぎの関係や、紛争の原因となる広く流布した民族間の格差は、地域平和や世界平和に対する潜在的な脅威であると認識する。
アジアの国々は、人々や政府の間での話し合いや協力・協働を通して、それらの問題に効果的に立ち向かうことで、地域の平和を成し遂げる潜在能力を持っていると理解する。
アジアのIPPNWの各支部が、変革をもたらし世界平和へ貢献する過程において、前向きな影響を及ぼし引き金の役割を演じることができるものと信じ、彼らの信念と能力に委ねる。
我々は、平和を献身的に追い求めると約束し、次に挙げた者たちに下記の如く呼びかけると、再び断言する

全てのアジアの国々に、調和のとれた関係を築き、核兵器や通常兵器を地域や世界から廃絶し、それらの財源を公平と正義の原則にのっとって、人々の健康・教育・社会保障に振り向けることに、誠実さをもって本気で取りかかるように呼びかける。 地域の人々に、全ての国々の人々同士の連帯をはぐくみ、政府による兵器の備蓄競争に反対するように呼びかける。 IPPNWの支部会員に、地域や世界の平和のために、もっと熱心・情熱・献身をもって共に行動するように呼びかける。

平和は、人間の尊厳を持った人々の調和であり、単に戦争がないだけではないこと、そして平和は社会正義を通じてのみ達成できることを、我々は信じる。

We the participants of IPPNW North-South Meeting held on 4-6 March 2011 in Kathmandu Nepal, organized by Physicians for Social Responsibility, Nepal (PSRN), from Bangladesh, China, DPR Korea, Finland, India, Japan, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

Recognizing that possession of nuclear weapons and capability to develop them, inadequate palliative relationship between the countries and prevailing disparity in people resulting in conflicts are potential threats to the peace in the region and to the World Peace;

Realizing that countries in Asia have all potentials to achieve Peace in the region by effectively addressing these issues through dialogue, collaboration and cooperation among the people and government;

Entrusting in the faith and ability of IPPNW affiliates in Asia that they can positively influence and play catalytic role in the process to bring changes and contribute to the World Peace;

Reaffirm our commitment to pursue our dedication for peace and call

All the countries in Asia to take serious actions with honesty to build harmonious relationship, abolish the nuclear armament from the region and from the world and weapons of war and to divert the resources to health, education and social security of people based on the principle of equity and justice;

The people of the region to foster solidarity among the people of all countries and oppose the race of stock-piling of weapons of war by the governments;

IPPNW Affiliate Members to act together with more enthusiasm, passion and dedication for the peace in the region and in the World.

We believe that peace is harmony in people with human dignity, not merely an absence of war, that peace can be achieved through social justice.
